Q: Can you tell us about your background and what led to your career in nursing?
I grew up during the 1940s and 1950s, a wonderful time to be raised, and later moved to New York City, where I got married and started a family with three children. In my late thirties, I pursued my passion for helping others by earning a nursing degree and began a fulfilling career at one of New York’s most renowned hospitals, where I worked for 20 years. Along the way, my family grew, and today, I’m blessed with 13 grandchildren who bring my immense joy.
Q: What brought you to Inspīr Carnegie Hill?
After my spouse passed, I wanted to find a place where I could focus on enjoying life without the burden of managing everything on my own. Staying in the city I love was important to me, and Inspīr felt like a natural choice. A friend had spoken highly of it, and after visiting, I knew it was the right place for me.
Q: What’s life like at Inspīr?
It’s a truly wonderful lifestyle. My apartment is bright and welcoming—perfect for quiet moments and recharging. At the same time, the community is lively and full of opportunities to connect. The building itself is stunning, with spaces like the SkyPark, indoor gardens, and an inviting pool and fitness center.
Q: What experiences do you enjoy most?
I take full advantage of the activities here, from cultural outings and lectures to happy hours and theater performances. There’s always something to do, and I’ve made so many new friends. The experiences are designed to keep us engaged and connected, and I love that.
Q: What advice would you give to someone considering a move to Inspīr?
Do it now, while you can fully enjoy it! This is a place where everything is taken care of, leaving you free to live life to the fullest.
